Science - Changing States

Remembering - Janmashtami (Hinduism)

Image
During our RE Day, Year 4 have spent time remembering. We have remembered what things are importunate to remember, how we remember them and why. We had a great discussion about this and about how we might feel when we remember certain events or people.   We then looked at and discussed why Christians remember Christmas and some of the things (traditions) we might have in our own lives to help us remember the Birth of Christ.  We then spent time looking at and discussing the celebration of Janmashtami and Krishna. We learnt about the story of Krishna and how he was able to save his people from the tyranny that preceded him. And how Krishna is celebrated across the Hindu Community.  We finished the day off by completing a half picture of Krishna, which despite children thinking it was too hard, there have been many successful attempts!

They have further developed their dribbling and shooting skills, while also learning new techniques and tricks to support a more tactical and strategic mindset.
