Elm Class
This term, Elm Class have been studying all about rivers. They begun by identifying the definition of a river as well as recapping the water cycle and how water moves around the Earth. Then they looked at the River Medina and its features including the source, mouth, tributaries and meanders. To support their learning the children visited the river and saw tributaries and meanders. Furthermore, they looked at the human and physical geography around the river and the impact this has had. Finally, the went into the river to measure its flow and depth. Of course, they went dipping with nets to see the different animals living in the river.
