Spring Term - Year 4 - Tennis & Inclusive Sports
As we have progressed through the spring term, with a focus on tennis and inclusive sport, the students have fully embraced the range of challenges, new activities, and variations of sport introduced to them.
It has been particularly pleasing to see the progress made in tennis. Students have developed their fine motor skills, improved their hand-eye coordination, and shown a growing ability to apply tactical thinking within game situations. Their confidence and understanding of the sport have noticeably increased over the term.
In addition to this, students have engaged positively with inclusive sports, demonstrating a strong willingness to adapt activities to ensure that everyone can participate. They have shown creativity and teamwork when exploring how sports can be made accessible for all, which has been a key focus of the term.
More recently, some students have also been introduced to orienteering, incorporating an Easter-themed egg hunt. This has supported the development of communication skills, problem-solving, and effective teamwork, as students worked together to complete tasks.
Overall, the students should be extremely proud of their achievements this term. Their effort, resilience, and willingness to take on new challenges have been excellent to see. Well done to everyone for their hard work and progress. Take a well deserved break! Happy Easter!
